In this review of Ebates, I’ll show you what Rakuten Ebates is, how to earn the $10 free sign up bonus, how to earn on Ebates by shopping online, and if Rakuten Ebates is a scam or not.
What is Rakuten Ebates?
Rakuten Ebates gives money back in your pocket in the form of rebates for your online purchases. Ebates is for people who love to shop online.
I wish I had heard of Ebates earlier, I would have used it on all my online purchases. I recently joined Ebates last December 2018 and boy was I surprised at how easily you can make money back with this.
It is easy to join and very importantly it is FREE! I use my laptop for Ebates but I also see that they have an application available for mobile users. I haven’t tried using their mobile application yet.
You will need to create an account with Ebates. Ebates has a promotion running so that every new member gets a Free $10 sign up bonus.

- Must be a new member.

To qualify for the $10 Rakuten Welcome Bonus, you must be a new member and make minimum qualifying purchases totaling at least twenty-five dollars ($25) within ninety (90) days of becoming a member.
Tip: Before thinking of joining, make sure you need to purchase something that is worth at least $25. I joined during Christmas time and I am ready to purchase presents to make sure I get the $10 bonus as well as the cash back from my online purchase. Think of any holiday wherein you need to buy presents to make use of this tip.
How Does Rakuten Cash Back Work?
Earning is easy. Just log in to your account on ebates.com and click the “Shop Now” button beside the online store you want to make a purchase from. You will be redirected to the online store of your choice so that you can complete your purchase.
Ebates will track your purchase and give you up to 5% cash back (this will take about 7 days to register on your Ebates account). They will send you an email when you get your cash back.
Remember: You have to go to Ebates website first before making your purchase, otherwise Ebates cannot track your order and you will not get any cash back.
I joined Ebates on December 2018 and I made some Christmas gift purchases online on Walmart and Ebay and I got $2 cash back. These purchases also earned me my $10 Welcome Bonus in the form of a Walmart gift card.
Is Rakuten Ebates a Scam?
Rakuten Ebates is legit and not a scam. Rakuten Ebates does payout and I even got my $10 sign in bonus.
So if you are planning to shop online, join Rakuten Ebates and save some money today.
You will not make a lot of money with Rakuten Ebates, it is more of a savings app or site. You would need to spend a lot online to make Rakuten Ebates worth your while.
