It has been a while since my last post. I have been very busy working and taking care of a toddler and there’s another one coming.
I work in healthcare and it got very busy when the pandemic hit. I was at work most of the time, I’m covering shifts because we were understaffed and work was really tiring.
Even then, I was still able to use some apps to help me earn a little bit of extra money from what I earn with my 9 to 5 job.
I’m not able to use a lot of apps anymore. I only use a few of them cause that’s all I could manage given the limited time I have each day.
The earnings are low but the time I spend on it is also low. It’s up to you if you think it would be worth your time.
I’m also learning how to invest some money using an app and I am giving an update on that in this post.
These websites or applications I have tried personally.
I am recommending these earning websites or apps just because they really work and they do payout so they are all legit and not a scam.
Let’s get to my list of apps that I still use in my spare time with a full time job:
InboxDollars

InboxDollars is the first earning website or app that I used. I used to do surveys through the mobile application whenever I have free time and earn mostly that way before.
I have earned a lot of dollars from their surveys.
InboxDollars is not a scam site, it is legit and I have cashed out multiple times already. But there are offers that spam your email so beware of those.
My tip: create a separate email for earning sites if you plan to do offers, some of the offers are just really out to spam you.
Multiple ways to earn with InboxDollars. You can earn by watching TV, playing online games, printing coupons, opening paid emails, doing free offers, and by referring friends etc.
Basically you get paid for doing some minor tasks online.
You get paid for opening an email that they send you every day. I accumulate these and open them all at once every week and earn free money by opening emails.
There is free $5 for signing up. And cash out is at $10. You’ll only need $5 more to be able to request a cashout and get that free money.
My experience: I got to my first cashout fast by doing surveys and free offers. There was also a great get paid to watch option before too.
You can cashout for different gift cards like Amazon or via PayPal cash. I cashout via PayPal and it usually takes about 5 business days to receive the payout to my PayPal account.
They really do pay out that free money and I can guarantee it.
Note: You have to link a verified PayPal account to receive your cash through PayPal.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is just like InboxDollars. It is like InboxDollars with a different name.
I still use this site and you can do a lot of online tasks to get that free money.
Swagbucks will give you free $10 to join or sign up. Enough to cashout for a gift card or PayPal cash. Free money guys, take advantage of that.
Popular free gift cards Swagbucks offers: Amazon, Walmart, Apple, Google Play, Target, eBay, The Home Depot, Starbucks, Lowe’s, Sephora, Sam’s Club, Bath & Body Works, Kohl’s, CVS, TJX (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods), Best Buy, Macy’s, and so many more.
An important thing to note is that you will be earning SwagBucks (SB) on your Swagbucks account and not dollars. You’ll need to convert the SBs to free dollars or gift cards.
The approximate conversion is 1 SB equal to $0.01 or 1 cent. Also know that the higher the dollar amount of the gift card you redeem you will get a % discount, so conversion rates differ depending on how much you redeem.
If you liked InboxDollars you’ll also like Swagbucks. You can join Swagbucks and InboxDollars at the same time and get that $15 free sign up money from both.

Robinhood

This is the first investing app that I have ever used. It is easy to understand and made investing easy for me to do.
Let me give a rundown of what I learned from investing in the stock market as a beginner so far.
With Robinhood you can automate and connect a bank account. Set it up to deposit a dollar amount every month and then use that money to buy in to your favorite stocks or Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).
I invested in individual stocks at first but then I shifted more on high dividend ETFs now.
What are ETFs? ETFs are a type of investment that track a market index like the S&P 500 that has the top 500 businesses on it.
ETFs provide diversification for your portfolio and you don’t have to individually select each stock anymore and this overall reduces the risk of your investment.
I also chose high dividend ETFs to earn a little bit of money back from my investments and then reinvest that free money.
What are dividends? Dividends are money from the company’s earnings that are being shared back to the shareholders.
You can see the annual dividend yield of a company or ETF in the Robinhood app. Not all companies will have dividends. The dividend yield will be blank for companies that don’t payout dividends.
Note: Dividends are taxable. Consult with a tax expert for more details about taxes.
I also hold the assets that I invest in. I have not sold any of my stocks yet and I will continue to hold them.
The stock market will fluctuate daily, I’m following the advise of other investors to dollar cost average and never time the market. This is what I will be doing and what I think that works for me.
Currently at the time of writing this post, Robinhood has a 1.5% annual return of the cash that is not invested in your account. They also have the option to lend out your stocks for more income.
Does Robinhood have a free sign up bonus? When you open up a new account with Robinhood using the link below, successfully link your bank account, you get a free fractional share of one of the top U.S. stocks valued from $5 to $200.
So sign up using the link above, create a new account, link a bank account and go get that free money and start investing.
Conclusion: Earning Websites or Apps I Still Use In My Spare Time While Keeping The Full Time Job
These are the online money earning websites or apps that I still use to invest or earn a little extra money from home.
All of them are legit and they really do payout based on my experience.
Investing is a great way to have your active income make passive income and have your money make you more money so please start investing.
Do consider giving them a try and get those free sign up bonuses and let me know your experience in the comments.
I hope you enjoyed this post about money apps I still use while working the 9 to 5 and I’ll see you on my next post.
