In this post I will list my top passive money making apps that I use or would like to try this 2021.
These apps is available in the US and I’m not sure if it is available in other countries. And minimum age requirement would be at least 18 yo.
I like passive earning apps as they require little to no work to earn a small amount of extra cash which you can use to buy free coffee or a small gift.
The amount earned will be minimal and you won’t get rich using these passive apps.
Some of the apps will require you to spend especially the cash back apps and remember to spend wisely and only buy things you would buy anyways.
These apps are free to join and some will have sign up bonuses up to $10.
Let’s start.
1. Pei App
Pei is a cash back app and one that I currently use. Cash back is automatic and you will need to link a card to earn.
When you shop using the linked card you earn cashback when you shop with one of their partner retailers.
I linked my Discover credit card with this app and I noticed that the cash back from my credit card will stack with Pei, doubling the savings.
This app is available for Android and iOS and it is free to join.
Minimum amount to cashout is at $25 and they really do payout. I received my cashout via PayPal, you may also receive giftcards and cryptocurrency if you want.
List of Pei partners where I frequently earn cashback from: Target, McDonald’s, and Chick-Fil-A.
Pei also has a loyalty bonus where if you shop at the same partner store 5 times you have a chance to claim some bonus points.
Stores have an earning limit and when you reach this limit you’ll earn 0 points for shopping at that same store.

2. Shopkick App
This app is available for iOS and Android.
With this app you can earn kicks and you can exchange your earned kicks for free giftcards or PayPal cash.
There are a lot of ways to earn kicks but the most passive way is by linking a card to earn cash back just like the Pei app and by shopping through their app.
Some semi passive ways to earn is by walking in some stores, scanning product barcodes, taking a pic of receipts and watching in-app videos.
The minimum amount to cashout is at 1,250 kicks for a $5 gift card like Amazon, Target or Walmart.

3. Rakuten App
Rakuten is formerly known as Ebates. Rakuten is available for Android and iOS. It also has a website for those who prefer using PC.
Rakuten is another cashback app or site.
Rakuten has partnered with thousands of retailers to offer cashback up to 40%.
And it can stack with Pei and the Discover credit card to triple savings.
The minimum payout is at $5 and you can cashout with PayPal or via Check in the mail.
Rakuten has a $10 sign up bonus which you can earn when you spend at least $25 through Rakuten within 90 days of creating your account.

4. Ibotta App
Ibotta is an app available for Android and iOS device users.
Ibotta is another cash back app that is mainly semi-passive.
The main way to earn is by choosing offers from their list of partner retailers and then going in-store to complete the purchase of product offers.
You will need to take a picture of the receipt to prove that you have bought the product offers.
The more passive way to earn is by linking your rewards card and the offers you choose will automatically be redeemed in 48 hours.
You can also shop through the Ibotta app and earn cashback same as Rakuten.
The minimum amount to cashout for Ibotta is at $20 and you can choose to cashout between PayPal cash or via gift cards.

5. Swagbucks App
Swagbucks is one of the top money making sites online. There are a lot of ways to earn with Swagbucks.
The Swagbucks App is available for Android and iOS users. Swagbucks also has a website for PC users.
You can also earn cash back using Swagbucks. You can link a credit card like Pei or you can shop through their app like Rakuten to earn passively.
You can also earn by watching advertisement videos and this is a semi-passive way to earn.
You can also do surveys and earn a little more than earning passively.
The minimum amount you could redeem for is a $1 Amazon gift card. I always love a low minumum cashout amount for money making apps.
6. InboxDollars App
InboxDollars is the first money making app I ever used and I still use it today.
You can get paid to shop using InboxDollars just like the cashback apps I mentioned above, and this app will work the same way as those apps.
There are other ways to earn with InboxDollars like the paid emails where they pay you to read emails and also printing coupons.
This app is available for Android and iOS and they also have a website available.
The minimum cashout is currently at $10. You can redeem for gift cards, PayPal cash or via Check in the mail.

7. TopCashback App
TopCashback is available for both Android and iOS users. They also have a website for online shoppers.
This is another cashback app and earns the same way as Rakuten.
There is no minimum payout requirement and you can redeem via Visa prepaid, Amazon gift card, American Express rewards, PayPal and Direct Deposit.

8. BeFrugal App
BeFrugal is another online shopping cashback app available for Android, iOS and also has a website.
Works the same way as Rakuten and TopCashback.
The minimum cashout is at $25 and you can redeem for gift cards, PayPal cash, direct deposit, or via check in the mail.
9. CashMagnet App
CashMagnet is an app available only for Android users.
Download the free app and install on your device. Create your account and launch the app.
Just press a button to start earning points passively. Do note that you cannot use your phone while it is earning.
You can run this app on a max of 4 phones per IP address.
You can then exchange the points earned for free rewards such as Amazon gift cards, PayPal, or cryptocurrency.
The minimum amount to cashout is $5 PayPal.
10. Robinhood App
Robinhood App is available for Android and iOS users with a website also available.
Robinhood is an app for investing or trading stocks with no fees. You can trade stocks for free that is commission-free stock trades.
A way to earn passively from this app is by buying dividend paying stocks and earn passively through dividends.
Trading stocks involves a risk and always research the stock you want to buy.

Sell the free stock and withdraw the amount to your bank to get free cash.
11. Fundrise App
Fundrise is another investment app, but instead of stocks, you will be investing in the real estate market.
You only need $500 to start investing with Fundrise. This will enable you to become a real estate investor without putting in a lot of money.
You can earn an average return of 7 to 12% per year on your investment.
Fundrise app is available on Android and iOS. A website is also available.
