Pei – Automatic Cash Back Review

Hello everyone, this is Nate from appsitemakemoney.com. In this blog post I am going to talk about an app called Pei. I am going to tell you what the Pei app is, how to get started with Pei, how to earn and redeem from Pei and if the Pei app is legit or not.

Before we start, here’s a Quick Look at the Pei App:

What is Pei App?

Pei is a free to download cashback app. It is called an automatic cashback app. It is available for Android and iOS users.

No need to cut coupons, no scanning receipts or redeeming product offers to earn cashback when you are using the Pei app.

What makes Pei so easy is the fact that you just set the app up and earn rewards automatically for your succeeding purchases at partnered retailers.

By using the Pei app you can save up to 20% on your purchases.

You can get cashback to your PayPal account, as gift cards or Bitcoins.

Pei has 4.4 stars on Google Play and 4.8 stars on the App Store. Which are really good scores for an app, a lot of people are happy using the Pei app.

App Requirements:

Requires iOS 9.0 or later and compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

For Android it requires Android version 4.1 and up.

You will need access to a credit or debit card. You also need wifi or data to use the app.

A phone with a sim card is needed to verify your account. A working email is also needed to sign up.

Download the Pei App:

First we need to download the free Pei app.

You should get a link sent to your phone to download and install the app.

How to Create a Pei Account?

To get started with the Pei App, you have to create an account. When you first open the app you will have to sign up for a new account before you can log in.

You will need to sign up using an email address. Fill out the necessary details and use a Referral Code to earn bonus points at the start.

Using my referral code above will earn you bonus 250 points which is equivalent to $2.50.

The bonus points will be in pending status until you make a qualifying purchase that earns a cashback.

How to Earn on the Pei App:

1. Cashback using a Linked Card

After logging in to the app, you need to link a credit or debit card to your Pei account.

Click here to apply for the cashback card I recommend to pair with the Pei app.

Pei cashback will stack with your credit card rewards.

Bonus tip: There are other apps like Pei that you can use to stack the cashback and I will list them down below.

Everytime you purchase products from Pei’s partner retailers using your linked card, you will earn cashback automatically on your Pei account.

Using Pei will turn your debit or credit card into a retailer rewards card without interest.

There is no limit as to how many cards you can link with Pei, this means you can link as many cards as you like.

2. Invite a Friend and Earn

Click on the gift icon on the top right portion of the screen.

This will take you to the Invite screen. You invite friends to use Pei by giving them your referral code shown on that screen.

When they use your code they get $2.50 and you also get $2.50 once they purchase at a Pei partner merchant for the first time. There is a limit of 50 friends.

3. Boost Cashback

There is a “Boost Cashback” button that you can find when you tap on your profile icon located on the upper left portion of the main screen.

This button will let you earn 1% cashback at any merchant (even those not partnered with Pei) for 48 hours using your linked card.

You need to fill up the progress bar with boost points to be able to activate this cashback boost.

A full bar is equivalent to 20 boost points. You can earn boost points for doing certain actions listed below.

Actions and Equivalent Boost points:
Link a new card to Pei = 1 point
Invite a Friend to Pei and have them link a card = 2 points
Choose to cashout with a gift card = 1 point
Shopping at the same merchant 5 times = 1 point
Shopping at Pei preffered merchants = 2 points

List of Partner Retailers or Merchants:

This are just some of the retailers that has partnered with Pei to offer you cashback.

Check the app for list of local retailers where you can earn up to 20% cashback. You can access this at the main screen and granting the Pei app access to your location.

7 Eleven, AMC, Chic-fil-A, Chipotle, Dunkin Donuts, H&M, In-N-Out Burger, McDonald’s, Nordstrom, Petco, Sephora, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Target, Trader Joe’s, Uber (rideshare only), Uniqlo etc…

Redeeming on the Pei App:

In Pei you earn points. 1 point is equivalent to $0.01.

$1.00 = 100 points

You can then exchange your points for different rewards.

The minimum amount to be able to redeem on the Pei App is 1,500 points which is equal to $15. (Mar 2020 update: The minimum to cash out is now at 2,500 points equivalent to $25.)

Once you accumulate 1,500 points or more you can cashout by tapping “Withdraw” in the main screen.

For the Pei App, you can cashout via PayPal cash, gift cards or Bitcoins.

Is the Pei App Legit?

With the kind of star rating on Google Play and the App Store for the Pei app, it seems like users are really enjoying the Pei app.

I also like the Pei app and it is easy to use and pretty passive too once everything is set up. The app is still new and the app is still evolving.

I think that more cashback opportunities are going to come to the Pei app in the future.

The Pei app is a legit app in my opinion.

• The app drains my phone battery faster.
• The minimum cashout of $15 (now $25) is a little bit high for me.
• There is a referral limit of 50.

Conclusion: Pei Review 2019 to 2020

Using the Pei app, I feel like I’ve unlocked extra savings. The app is easy to use and you just link a card and instantly start earning cash backs.

I just shop like I normally do and earn extra cashback in addition to my credit card rewards. I frequently get my cashbacks from Target and Trader Joe’s.

I also like that they have the PayPal cashout option. I think that the $15 (now $25) cashout threshold is a little bit high, but also fair compared to other apps with thresholds more than $15 (now $25).
