In this quick post I’ll share with you how to use your Amazon gift card code that we earned from money making apps and sites.
You’ll learn what to do with your Amazon gift card.
I’ll also show you how to check if Amazon gift card has been redeemed and how to check Amazon gift card amount.
Create An Amazon Account
You’ll need to have an Amazon account. It is so easy to create an account with Amazon just go to their website if you haven’t already.
You can redeem the gift cards in Amazon’s website or on thier mobile app and I’ll walk you through on both.
Amazon Gift Card Claim Code
Amazon gift cards will have a claim code. The claim code contains 14 to 15 letters and numbers combination and you enter this code to claim the gift card balance on your Amazon account.
Amazon gift card claim codes are usually found on the back of physical Amazon gift cards covered by a scratch off protective coating.
For digital Amazon gift cards, the claim code will be emailed to your inbox.
With money making apps and sites, I usually prefer digital gift cards. It’s easy to use and I don’t have to wait for a physical card to be mailed to me.
How To Redeem Amazon Gift Card on Amazon.com
Open your web browser and go to the Amazon.com website.
Sign in to your account and click on “Account & Lists” located just below your registered name on the upper right corner of the website screen.
Then click the “Gift cards” option and this screen will show you how much is on your Amazon account gift card balance.
Click the “Redeem a Gift Card” button.
Enter your claim code on the space provided and click the “Apply to your balance” button.
The entire amount on your Amazon gift card will now be transferred to your Amazon account gift card balance.
This is where you will learn how much funds is on your Amazon gift card.
This is also how to tell if the Amazon gift card has already been redeemed.
There is a “Gift Card Activity” list that tells you which gift card you had already redeemed.
The gift card balance does not expire and is non-transferrable to other acounts.
How To Redeem Amazon Gift Card Using The Amazon App
Open the Amazon app and sign in to your account if you haven’t yet.
Tap on the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the screen.
Tap “Gift Cards & Registry” on the options that pops out.
You should see your Amazon Gift Card Balance here. Tap the arrow down to the right of your gift card balance.
Tap on “Redeem an Amazon Gift Card.”
Now you should be able to enter or scan your claim code to add balance to your Amazon account.
Tap the “Apply to your balance” button to complete the transfer of funds.
How To Use Amazon Gift Card Balance
Once the gift card balance has been transferred to your Amazon account gift card balance.
You will now be able to use your account gift card balance when you purchase an item from Amazon.com or from the Amazon mobile app.
Just put a check mark on the box that says “Use your $xx.00 gift card balance” as your payment option upon checkout.
Amazon Redeem Gift Cards While Purchasing A Product
When you checkout on Amazon you will have the option to enter a claim code or an Amazon gift card code.
You will find it in the “More Payment Options” section upon checkout.
Scroll down to find “Gift Cards, Vouchers & Promotional Codes” click on “Enter a gift card or promotional code” and you should be able to type your claim code on that box.
Click the “Apply” button and your gift card balance will be used for that purcahse.
What Happens If Your Gift Card Amount Exceeds The Cost Of Your Purchase?
If your gift card amount exceeds the amount you are purchasing, your gift card should retain the remaining balance.
And you should be able to use the excess amount on your next Amazon purchase.
